Dario Iaaneg (real name Andrea Gioia) was born in Italy in 1978. He began developing a passion for music as a child by studying piano. It was at this time that he developed an interest in rock and metal sound. Within a few years Dario became a respected guitar soloist and he found himself highly demanded playing in many bands in Italy . His taste in rock music slowly evolved, day by day, into an experimental and alternative genre. At this point, Dario felt as if he was misunderstood by the masses in the local rock scene where he had originally gained popularity. This change in his musical tastes may have been caused by a growing passion for electronic music, which he was beginning to listen to and mix.
Dario began working with electronic music; initially in the tape cassette format then with vinyl and eventually by working with a laptop computer and some controllers. It was within this new digital dimension that he had the opportunity to discover the deep sensations of HD recording, which has undoubtedly become the main focus of his current audio productions. At the moment Dario continues to produce DJ mixes and is working hard in the studio producing original tracks. Several of his recent productions have been positively reviewed by famous DJ/Producers such as Jeff Bennett (KUNG FU DUB), Jussi-Pekka (FROZEN NORTH RECORDINGS), Funk d'Void (SOMA RECORDS), TOB-REK (REST RECORDS) and Neurotron (Night Drive Music). Through hard work and a commitment that revolves around the desire to be unique and experimental, Dario Iaaneg is emerging as an interesting and in demand Deep/Tech/Progressive House Music producer.
