Bob Zopp is all about music...and the music is all about the vibe...Bob Zopp is an artist, composer, producer, remixer, and drummer. His writing and production style are simple and solid and his grooves are full of colour. He is an internationally distributed electronica artist, published composer of music for percussion ensemble, and an experienced studio and touring drummer.
Bob Zopp was born in Kidderminster, England. He relocated to the United States has lived in the Chicago, Minneapolis, Jacksonville, and San Francisco Bay Areas. He currently calls California his home.
Bob Zopp is an educated musician and has completed studies in Audio Engineering and Music Composition. He has worked as a Sound Engineer for Sound Recorders Studios in Omaha. He spent three years working with Coda Music, where he assisted in the development of Finale® Music Notation Software. He has toured much of the United States as a drummer, including two years supporting several legendary Nashville country music artists. Bob Zopp has performed as DJ, live electronica, and as drummer for acts including the Moonlight Jazz Orchestra, Pandora's Box, Sherwin Linton, Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright, Hank Thompson, Boogaloo Bob & The Rigamarole, Acid Bass Experiment, and the Dudes of Leisure. Bob Zopp has tracks appearing on "Tangra's Toy EP" (Cosmic Playroom Records), "The World" Complilation CD (Shrimps and Chips Records), "TuneTank NXNE New Generation 2006 CD" (TuneTank), and "New Music Series 2007 Compilation CD Series" (Tin Records), scheduled for release in late 2006. His tracks are available on most premier online music retailers, including Beatport, AOL Music, iTunes, DjDownload, KarmaDownload, mp3.com, Yahoo Music, Rhapsody, and many more. His track "Drink and Smoke" received national airplay on 104.7 FM iRadio LA, and reached #52 on the Top 100 most requested list.
Bob Zopp is currently pursuing several new projects, including a new EP release titled "Deep Sense", a remix project for Bulgarian pop artists Popcorn, a feature for Release Music Magazine (UK), and inclusion on the upcoming release by Third Wave Entertainment, titled "Passion Play" (Vol.1)
