This Bulgarian band is
very well known in their native country. Popcorn has
been existing since 1997 and the last 3 years has
been very successful for the musicians in the band:
Their preferred styles
are house and chill out music. In 2003 they released
their first 12'' EP on Keyf records www.keyfrecords.com
Norway/UK. The Oli prayer project received extremely
good feedback from all over the world and was included
in the playlist of DJ No1 in Canada - Mark Oliver,
resident DJ of The Guvernment club, Toronto. In 2004
they released on labels like Cobalt Records and Neurotron
Music.
Their last project is the Easy feeling single which
has remixes made in Turkey by Emre Goren /Tarkan,
Candan Ercetin, Gokhan Ozen and in the UK by DJ Damo.
This song has been No. 1 for two months in the Vitaminic
charts and it was No. 1 in the top lists of the most
respected radio stations in Bulgaria. "Easy feeling"
has been announced by radio Vitosha /Bulgaria/ as
the "dance tune No1 of the 2003. POPCORN got the first
prize and the gold statuette at the 13th International
Computer Art
Forum. In June 2003, the band reached No.
2 in the top 100 of the MP3 songs org UK. In 2002
Popcorn supported acts for the concerts of FunDaMental
and Las Ketchup. Popcorn's music could often be heard
often on fashion shows, in clubs, on the radio and
on TV in Bulgaria and has been broadcast in other
countries by Radio Ventures, NY /US, Power FM /Turkey,
Norwegian National Radio and BBC, London /UK/, Radio
France International.
